The UEFA, FIFA, The International Olympic Committee (IOC), and The International Skating Union (ISU) bans are due to the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians and their ally Belarus.

UEFA and FIFA put out a joint statement that they are banning the Russian National Team and Russian clubs from playing in their tournaments.
For the time being, the Russian National Team is not allowed to play any of their FIFA
World Cup Qualifiers. The Russians had a playoff semi-final match postponed against Poland on March 24th.
UEFA has canceled the Russian side Spartak Moscow’s game against the German side Red Bull Leipzig. The two teams would have faced off to continue onto the Europa League quarter-finals.
UEFA has also announced that the locations are being switched for the Final. The Champions League Final will be played in Paris, France instead of St. Petersburg, Russia.
The ISU also applied the ban to Russian Athletes. The World Figure Skating Championships are planned for later in March. Anna Scherbakova and partner, 15-year-old Kamila Valieva will be excluded from the Championships.
For now, the ban stands to show the organizations they are with Ukraine.
“Football is fully united here and in full solidarity with all the people affected in Ukraine,” says FIFA and UEFA in their joint statement.
